Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins is the first in a new series about a different kind of school...a school for all beings supernatural. Sophie ends up in Hex Hall because she is witch, who happened to cast a spell at her human high school which caused a bit of an uproar. Suddenly her absentee warlock dad showed up and told she had to attend a different school, Hecate (aka Hex) Hall.While the school is different in many ways, the same old high school cliques and politics exist, and Sophie must learn to fit in and deal with the drama. Of course, it's a little bit different when magic is involved.
As Sophie starts to learn about her past and her powers, she comes to realize that she has a very special gift and she must use it wisely.
